I'm a senior researcher and the deputy head of the Agent Technology Center, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague. My core responsibilities are research, R&D project management and teaching. As a member of the center's management board, I also contribute to centre's strategy, fundraising, recruitment and partnership development.
In my career to date, I have developed several advanced software systems, published over 40 scientific papers and become the principal inventor on two international patents. Over the past couple of years, I have attracted research funding in the excess of € 1 million.
Through my combined academic and industrial experience, I have acquired a rare mix of scientific, engineering and management skills. This mix has served me extremely well in a discipline that I consider my strongest and which I tend to enjoy the most – bringing novel technical solutions from initial invention, through design and development up to successful prototype deployment.
I received a PhD degree in Artificial intelligence and biocybernetics from Czech Technical University in Prague in 2008. Before joining the Agent Technology Center, I was a research scientist with British Telecommunications (BT), developing resilient decentralized architectures for service-oriented computing and network-centric information fusion. Earlier in my career, I worked as a game AI programmer for Illusion Softworks (now 2KCzech), a leading game studio. See further career details at my linkedin profile.
I'm married and have a toddler son. My hobbies include football, electronic music and graphical design.
I'm always happy to get in touch with interested people from all walks of life. If you're thinking about working with me and my team, collaborating on a project or venture or you simply want to discuss ideas related to artificial intelligence and transport, contact me via e-mail, twitter or linkedin.
